Commvault® QiNetix™ 5.9 End-of-Life Notice

This bulletin is part of our ongoing effort to keep you informed of product and support changes. To that end, we are hereby notifying you that Commvault will cease support for its QiNetix software suite version 5.9. See the table below for specific Product End-of-Life/End-of-Support Details. As noted in the table below, Extended Assistance Support will continue until June 1, 2008, after which support for version 5.9 will end.

We value you as a customer and appreciate your patronage. Product End-of-Life/End-of-Support for the QiNetix suite version 5.9 will allow us to continue to deliver the highest quality Commvault technology and support to meet your evolving requirements. The description of "Product End-of-Life/End-of-Support Details" follows. If you have questions about what releases are supported, please contact your Commvault sales representative.

After June 1, 2007, Commvault will continue to deliver maintenance patches for QiNetix 5.9 for a 6-month period ending December 1, 2007.
June 1, 2008Extended Assistance Support (EAS)
(Complete)
After December 1, 2007, Commvault will provide telephone and electronic support, and fixes for known problems. EAS does not provide error correction for new problems. For QiNetix 5.9, EAS will be provided until June 1, 2008.
Please note that we will gladly honor contractual stipulations for the above that are outlined in your Commvault Licensing Agreement.

Customer Action — Commvault strongly recommends customers upgrade to the latest version of Simpana software as soon as possible to maintain the highest level of support, performance and reliability for their products and systems.

Free Software Upgrade Kit for the latest version of Commvault® Simpana® — Commvault is providing customers currently under a maintenance agreement a free Software Upgrade Kit for the latest version of Simpana that is currently available at the time of the request. To request the upgrade kit, please fill out an Upgrade Request Form available on our Maintenance Advantage Web site.

To sign up for Maintenance Advantage — If your company is currently under a maintenance agreement but does not have an active Maintenance Advantage account; please send an email to support@commvault.com and provide your Commcell ID along with your contact information and you will be notified via email of your login and password within 24-48 hours.
